About Me

Here is the place where you have come to see if I am a good fit for you. I’m glad you are thinking about that part of your treatment. Having a good therapeutic relationship is one of the key factors for success in psychotherapy. After reading through the website, please call me with any questions. I will be happy to address any of your concerns or ponderings.
I have been working in the mental health field for over 25 years. I have worked in outpatient settings, first at a community mental health center then at a group private practice. In February 2018, I followed my dream of opening my own private practice.
I take an active role in sessions by asking questions and challenging unhealthy patterns. I don’t just nod and smile or ask “how do you feel about that?”. I tailor each session to use my patient’s strengths to overcome limitations. I help my patients learn what works in their lives. I teach a variety of skills and incorporate metaphor, humor, and comfort in each session.
